My 1990 Civic 1.5 automatic turns on the check engine light
occasionally under brisk acceleration after warm-up. Without turning car off, I look under pass side carpet for LED flashes. It flashes once every couple of seconds. Turn car off, back on CEL is out, LED still flashes only once. Car does not run any different with CEL on or off. Any ideas? Clyde |

Thanks for the answer. I'm still not sure what else could be wrong. Clyde. |

Clyde. reset the ecu [see tegger.com for his faq's], then check as per my previous post. oem are the best sensors for this vehicle. |

Since it was replaced so recently, double check that the wiring from the sensor to the connector is fine. If this is not a Denso (= OEM manufacturer) sensor, then the aftermarket one you have may very well be the problem, as JBeam notes. A new Denso will run only about $30 through Amazon. Get the Denso part number from www.densoproducts.com. |
