It ran for about 20 min on the new filter then left me stranded. Towed it back to the shop. They replaced the rotor and the ignition switch (not sure why exactly they did this without my approval) ever since then, the noise and smoke (like oil or some other fluid on the exhaust) |

Makes me think of the parking attendants in Ferris Bueller's Day Off. First thing, take it to a different shop and have it checked out for sabotage or maybe just ineptitude WRT timing and vacuum hoses that may have been left off or misconnected. IIRC, the fuel filter is underneath near the gas tank on the older Hondas. I think I would try to get a good look under and make sure everything is back in place where it should be in the vicinity of the rear wheels. |
