Default Any thoughts on a manual mode for coming accords?

Hello,

I know this is just a honda users group, but I was wondering if anyone has
heard any possible news or rumors that honda might come out with a manual
mode either in sequential sport shifter or paddles for the coming accords?
It seems odd that Honda hasnt offered that yet since Accord is still
considered an enthusiasts car even though its also more of a family luxury
car now than it might have been in the past. This is something I would like
to have for those days on the weekend, when I want to drive more aggressivly
on the twisty hilly roads. Manuals are ok, had them in the past, but like an
auto for comfort and convienience. Ultimately I would like to see Accord
come out with a 6 speed auto tranny with a sport mode gate on the thift and
paddles like the TSX has. I just don't want to have to spend 5k more to get
a TSX and use premium gas when I can have the accord and have a better and
more comfortable ride. Just my thoughts...

You want a sports car, but it shouldn't ride or perform like a sports
car, just have paddles to wank on. Next you'll be asking Honda for
coffee can tailpipes, factory-installed Mugen stickers, a giant useless
wing bolted to the trunk, and a shiny "Type R" badge.

Go buy a Mitsubishi Lancer.

Just get a V6 Altima. Has everything you're asking for, will handle better
than an Accord & you can probably get a better deal on one.

I have heard rumors of a sequential six speed for the S2000 for
several years. This was in the form of a "slam shifter" (aka "lift &
shift"). So I was somewhat surprised to see the Fit using the
manumatic system first.

My Fit is the first car I've owned since the early 70's with an
automatic. (And that car had a Ford 427 with a C6). I prefer picking
the gears myself.

Why stop there? Personally, I'd love to have an Acura for a Kia price.

;^)
