I found that 2 of 3 the gray interior areas scratch easily. It doesn't take
much at all to scar them for life! This would be the 2 gray roughed areas, as the third 'smoothed' gray areas seems to be more scratch resistant. The gray interior roughed door area surrounding the door handles as well as the roughed dash gray area seems to be thinly and softly(?) coated. Are there any oils, touch-up paint, shoe polish...anything that could be used to touch-up those scratched areas to blend them back into the surrounding interior? Certainly this must be a concern for other 8th Generation Civic owners too. Thanks for any input in advance! -Marc |

The dark gray surfaces below the side windows seem to scuf easily. I just try to avoid contacts. There is a posiblity that the scuff marks were present when I took delivery of the car. John |

I spoke with the manager of the local Honda certified body shop and he had
recommended to me a product distributed by Honda called "Plastic Panel Coating", a 4oz. spray can. He was even kind enough to give me a free demonstration with his supply. Very friendly indeed! The product worked very well covering up most of the scratches as described in my original post. The sprayed-on coating will most likely wear away with time but it does work very well and the spray can was only about 11 bucks! How-ever be careful when applying it to the dashboard surfaces as the dash has a different texture and if sprayed on too strongly (puddle) it may spot. Use quick and very light brush/spray strokes, then quickly blot up the excess. Hope this helps!
