I have rebuilt my honda v4 automatic transmission but reverse
sometimes goes, and sometimes doesn't. I brought the car back to the transmission place and they re-opened and check it again. They gave it back, and just found out the problem continues again. Is this a problem they didn't solve? Or is it something that goes beyond the transmission rebuilding service? Salvador A |

Isn't your transmission supposed to go in reverse? Does it do that now? If the answer is "no" then the transmission is not properly rebuilt. How many months and miles ago was it rebuilt? |

If you don't all gear then the transmission isn't rebuilt correct. Of
course the shift solenoids need to be checked besides the hard parts in the tranny, because they activate the fluid circuits to turn on various apply devices to shift. My rule of thumb for a good "remanufactured" (engine or tranny) is that the shop should offer the likes of 3-year/100,000 mile warranty. Some shops drop in junk yard stuff and slap a 3 month warranty on there. A simple explanation of "rebuilt or reman": http://www.jasperengines.com/about-reman.htm On Aug 28, 9:15*pm, "sleavitt.alcant...@gmail.com" <sleavitt.alcant...@gmail.com> wrote: > I have rebuilt my honda v4 automatic transmission but reverse > sometimes goes, and sometimes doesn't. *I brought the car back to the > transmission place and they re-opened and check it again. *They gave > it back, and just found out the problem continues again. *Is this a > problem they didn't solve? *Or is it something that goes beyond the > transmission rebuilding service? > > Salvador A |
