After getting a check engine signal I retightened the gas cap then
discnncted battery for 10 mins which gave only 1 minute of the check engine light being off so this AM had Auto Zone read the code and it's 1166 -"fuel meter related" according to AZone guy. This 84K flawless miles car runs great.Suggestions? Thanks |

P1166? As in OBD-II reader form Autozone?
That seems like oxygen sensor heater malfunction. Verify the failure with ohmmeter test. If so, get a Bosch *planar* type sensor. Autozone will lend sockets for free. Do both upstream and downstream, might as well. http://www.boschautoparts.com/Produc...s/PlanarO2.htm I don't like those P0420-causing Denso old thimble sensors.
