Default 03 Accord Trunk light not working

The light stopped coming on when the trunk is open. Replaced the bulb
to no avail. Is there a separate switch for the light? Anything else I
can check?

Thanks!

Did you ever figure out the solution?

I have an 03 coupe and am searching for a solution. The light went
out just recently.

Did you check the fuse box?

There is some type of switch because the lamp comes on when you open
the trunk. I don't know where it is as I don't have a shop manual for
the '03. It's probably sensitive to the angle of the trunk lid. My
guess is that it is either in the lamp housing, or near it.

I could not find a separately identified fuse for the trunk lamp. If
a fuse has blown in either the underhood or the interior fuse panel,
it should be obvious with a visual inspection. The other clue would
be that something else is also not working.
