Sometimes I get a mid frequency brake noise when braking. It's not a
high pitched squeal, it sounds like a french horn. Seems to happen usually at very slow speeds, when I'm braking lightly. I don't think it's rust on the pads, because this can happen even after I've been driving for a while. Anyone know what the cause is? |

I'm at 80k miles. (yeah I'm a light braker, stop laughing). I probably first heard the noise around 70k miles. I had the car serviced at 70k, and the mechanic said there was ample pad left. > What make, model, year and engine? 2001 Civic LX 4dr, 1.7L 4cyl |
