Default Any more ideas about the 2008 Accord?

I am seeing the 2008 Accord in concept version only. From what I read, the
2008 accord will have a slightly longer body and may have considerable hp
improvement. I am reading 175-205 for the 4 cyl and 270-280 for the 6 cyl.
Maybe more luxury?? I'd like to get more viable information about the 2008
Accord and the release date if anyone has that information.

Thanks,
Al

what about weight increase? increasing power means nothing if weight is
also increasing. and if weight is increasing, you'd also better worry
about improved brakes too.

I found a gallery and a forum for the new accord
http://gallery.8thaccord.org/main.php

It definitely looks bigger than the current accord. I don't know about
more luxury. The date of release according to 8thaccord.org is in
September of 2007.

and someone obviously leaked all the trim options and stuff for the 08
accord
http://tinyurl.com/2tsu58

even the 2008 accord colors are out
http://tinyurl.com/2fo22p

I personally can't wait to see the coupe.

Well the photos are pretty close to what I've seen. The options didnt look
as if anything new was added. I'd like to see a few things like more power,
better brakes, and maybe a sequential sport shifter etc.

Increasing the current I4 to 200 hp probably means a switch to premium gas.
Have to wonder about the weight if it is bigger.

Doubt it. That's not Honda's style.

I certainly hope not. In my long association with the big H since my first
CL77 in 1967 to the many cars I have owned, their byword has been
efficiency. Their I4 Accord (particularly with a manual) represents what
they stand for in my opinion.

Oh, absolutely! A Honda I4 with manual transmission is an absolute
jewel of a system, rock solid and bulletproof.

Well, since they've spiked the V6 Hybrid, how about a 4-cylinder
version?

The V6 Hybrid is a joke, it costs 31K and gets the same mpg as the regular
Accord I4 from what I've seen. You'd have to keep it 10 years to get your
moneys worth in gas vs the cost of the car costing alot more.

I'm still debating about the Civic Si and the Accord EX sedan for my next
one. I am not so sure the Civic Si would be practical for a New England
region with the snow and ice plus it needs premium. I like the car alot but
thats a problem I'm thinking especially with the super low pro tires.

Maybe the Accord I4 EX with a manual as a change to what I have.
