My 92 EX thinks it has ABS, since the ABS light is permanently on now, since the dealer last worked on it. (yes i took it back, he said the abs unit just conked out, not his fault, i said bye. i never liked the way the abs worked on it, anyway). |

I am embarrassed, and stand corrected. Only the EX Sedan had ABS.

on the 1992-1995 civics the ABS hydraulic fluid gets dirty and clogs some
part in the system which i'm not sure what that part is but i have heard if you have the abs fluid changed it will start working again. my abs light is on in my 1994 civic ex and i'm going to talk to my mechanic about changing out the hydraulic fluid in the system to see if it straightens it out. it's something to do with the way honda built the abs system in those years. i wouldn't go replacing any computer that controls the ABS until you check that out which can save you money. -jeff "z" <gzuckier@snail-mail.net> wrote in message news:1186071078.470910.210140@i38g2000prf.googlegr oups.com... > On Jul 28, 12:59 pm, High Tech Misfit <m...@privacy.net> wrote: > > TomP wrote: > > > USA market Civic's 1992 vintage do not have ABS. > > > > Actually, I'm pretty sure Honda put ABS on the EX model when they introduced > > the 5th-generation for '92. > > My 92 EX thinks it has ABS, since the ABS light is permanently on now, > since the dealer last worked on it.
