I am hearing a strange clunking noise coming from my right rear wheel (98
Accord, 166k miles). Since I only heard it when applying the brakes, I took it to Midas and they were unable to find a problem, except that the brake drum was not "true" and that there was a bent suspension rod on the *left* side of the car. Also, the right rear brake drum was really hot to the touch. About two years ago, I had the parking brake lines cut because they had frozen up. The Midas guys discovered that the right rear parking brake line had not been cut, so they did that. Now, I hear the clunking noise even when *not* applying the brakes, and the wheel is still hot to the touch after driving. What in the world do you think is wrong with the car? |
