Hello all,
My accord is at 47K and the dealer recommended new inserts for the wipers. how often do others have their inserts replaced? How about the wipers ? We don't have much snow here, but do get heavy rains sometimes. Also, any suggestions on good wipers/inserts to purchase ? THANKS! |

About $5 each. The best you can buy. Ideally replace every six months. Once a year is OK. -- Tegger The Unofficial Honda/Acura FAQ www.tegger.com/hondafaq/ |

She reports they work better than the OEMs; nearly silent and very effective in heavy rain. Installation was easy. The Tire Rack has them on sale, buy one get one ($20+shipping for a pair). I'd probably have gone with OEM inserts for the Accord except that I needed blades for 3 cars. (I kept the Accord wipers just in case I want to go back to the OEM inserts, which I will if I can't buy the Valeos for $10 next time.) I hope the Valeos last longer than the 6-9 months I get from the OEM (Honda or Toyota) inserts. |

Twice/year - I'm really fussy about streaks from the wipers, plus changing them just before winter means I'll have really good wiper action for the crap winter weather. YMMV, of course. |
