Hello all,
my central locking device has ceased to work on my front passenger side door. All of the rest of the doors lock and open as they should on the button and with the key in the drivers side. I have to lock the car manually now and I am afraid that my passenger may forget to lock the door. Do the left and right all work on the same circuit? Is there a separate fuse possibly? Where do i start my testing? Are there things to test before removing the trim from inside of the door? I have a a meter. Where to start and what readings should i be seeing? There was no funny noises or intermittent tendances before the malfunction, just a plain - stop working. any help please, cheers, Jim |

Does this apply equally to the interior lock switch, and the driver's side
key lock? It's likely that the servo is now dead. I have a '99 and the door panel isn't so hard to get off. Then you would put your meter test leads on the servo terminals to see whether it is getting power when you actuate the lock switch. Hello Saludos,
thanks for the reply, yes the passenger side front door does not work unless you press the button down manually, the rest of the locks open & shut on command of the fob and when you use the key or push the drivers button down. I will have a look at taking the intior door fitting out and see if the servo, or do you mean solenoid - has gone. Jim |
