This morning I decided to look for some new tires.
My VX takes P165/70R13 tires, so I hit the Tire America site to see what was available. Several hours later, it seems that almost nothing is available. I love my econobox, & want to keep my 13" wheels, so whats the best option for someone who drives 70 miles a day & 55 MPH? My preferences are: Economy, good traction, & comfort. |

That's the ONLY tire that came up when I put in your size. |

The problem with older cars is that there are too many things that COULD
be worn out or not operating properly to cause the symptoms you describe. Timing is not one of them. -SP rick505 wrote: > i have a 90 honda accord the problem i have is it is running ok but it > seemes to be using too much gas i put new plugs in it denso plugs parts > store didnt have ngk the compression is ok. i just pulled one of the new > plugs out and they are black not tan and it is not oil fouled i want to > check the timing but it says to take a wire and ground it before i set the > timing where is this wire also a budy of mine said that a bad o2 sensor or > a bad temp sensor would cause it to run rich like it is. there is no check > engine light on > |

My 89 accord uses 13's.. I put a new set on about 3-4 months ago. The are kuumo's <sp>???.. So far they seem ok. Under 200 a set including the balancing, etc.. As far as the rich running, the car needs a total checkout. There are many things that could cause that. MK |

Still a fair amount of tread left, but I'd like to be ready when the time comes for new tires. Now, does anyone have an extra VX wheel they'd like to part with. I need the original lightweight wheel to replace the donut. |
