I have 1993 honda civic that has 165,000 miles on it. Recently I have
replaced the head gasket, distributer, radiator, a bunch of hoses, and gotten the cylinder head remilled. Well, anyways one day I was driving home from work and my car suddenly went from running roughly to running horribly to the extent that I had to pull off the road and cut the now struggling engine. I checked spark, compression, and some electrical and it all checked out but the engine still wont run in idle, I have to hold the throttle down to keep the car sputtering and barly running....so, now I have no transportation and no clue on what to do next. so......if you have any advice....pleas "Go ahead" |

could be catalatic converter or vaccume hoses..but if you have to hold it to the floor sounds to me like converter unless timing belt slipped. good luck..... -- Scrapper ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scrapper's Profile: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...?userid=438443 View this thread: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=672388 http://www.automotiveforums.com |

How's the coolant level looking? Any evidence of another
head gasket breach? How old is the O2 sensor? Is it OEM? <mikelinquist8@aol.com> wrote >I have 1993 honda civic that has 165,000 miles on it. >Recently I have > replaced the head gasket, distributer, radiator, a bunch > of hoses, and > gotten the cylinder head remilled.
