I was just trying to do a tune up on my civic, when going to replace
the spark plugs I found oil on two of them. My brother said I probably have to replace the valve gasket. I looked up a valve gasket and they are cheap, is replacing them really difficult? Does anyone know how to replace a gasket set? |

It's more likely the spark plug tube gaskets or, further
down and much more laborious, some gaskets (O-rings) between the cylinder head and camshaft holder. See http://home.earthlink.net/~honda.lioness/id3.html for more information. This is pretty common on older Hondas. <mattpower@gmail.com> wrote >I was just trying to do a tune up on my civic, when going >to replace > the spark plugs I found oil on two of them. P.S. Use only OEM gaskets for this job. Aftermarket have a
reputation for premature failure. www.slhondaparts.com and other OEM honda parts dealers can get you the parts. |
