Hi,
The windows in my 96 Accord (Wagon) fog-up very easily in humid weather, it doesn't even have to actually rain. It does this fogging much more than my previous 91 Accord. I have already checked the airco drain tube. Have not found any wet spots inside the car, I have checked all obvious locations. It seems like the fresh air intake path could be clogged. When listening to the fan speed (fan at max, engine off) while switching between fresh air and recycle, the fan is running at higher rpm / more freely when at recycle. Does anyone have the same experience with an Accord? Is this typical, or is this the indication that at some point the fresh air intake path is blocked? Thanks, Jan |

Your cabin filter is probably plugged too. In cold weather, use FRESH (dry) air to keep your Honda from steaming up, or switch your AC on along with the heat (CR-V does it automatically) to ensure DRY air is used. 'Curly' |

Only in the 98 Accord and above did they add the air cabin filter so
that's not the problem. Have you checked your trunk for any leaks? The reason I ask is because if there is any water in there it will eventually get to the rearof the carpet and will end up fogging up the car. Last time I checked the trunk was dry. I had that issue with my 84 Accord,
leaking gaskets in the tail lights. This car would even fog up when parked... I have the impression that the fresh air stream in my 96 Accord might be clogged-up somewhat. I'm thinking of taking the ventilation / fan box under the dashboard (passenger side) apart, to check and see.... Anyone tried this before? Experiences? Many Hondas allow you to drop the heater fan with just three screws and unplug the power connector. A good flashlight and mirror will allow you to look up, inside the heater. 'Curly' |
