Default Maint Req'd Light

First, I know how to reset the light.

What I'm wondering is if anyone has a way to just turn the whole thing
off totally.
I do oil changes and other main based on my own schedule, which usually
errs on the side of caution. I'd rather not have the thing pop up from
time to time just for fun as where I'm at now the light has NO relation
to any actuall needed service.

Do you still have your Owner's Manual? The reset procedure is in there.

If you do not have the manual, click here:
https://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/logon.asp
and get your manual from Honda's Techinfo site (no login required for
manuals).

Choose Owner's Manuals from the menu at left, then navigate to your car.
Your information is on Page 66.
