Hi I have a 01' accord v6 and once in awhile my emergency brake light comes
on on my dash. It usually comes on when I first start the car and its cold and stays on for about 15 mins and goes away. I just had my front brakes pads replace and the rear is still good, fluid level is ok. |

Go to your Honda dealer and get a new improved Float and Strainer.
The Strainer has vent slots on top to stop this problem. The float is improved also. About $8.00. I know, because I had the problem..there is a bulletin from Honda on the problem . The parts go into your master cylinder reservoir. When it's happened to me I add a little brake fluid to the master cylinder.
That has taken care of the problem. This has happened to me twice in 6 years. Once after having the brakes
replaced, and just recently apparently due to normal disc wear. If it gets to be a constant problem, I'll have to look into replacing the fluid sensor. There are TSB's for CR-V, Civic, Accord. They have all had the same problem. http://www.tegger.com/hondafaq/tsb/accord/x98-039e.pdf 'Curly' |

As stated, if it continues to be a problem I'll replace the "Float". TomC |
