I have a '97 Prelude that is 9 1/2 years old now and is still running on the
original battery. I heard of a '97 CRX today that is also on the original battery. Are these now typical lifetimes? I am more used to 2-4 year lifetimes for batteries. |

My OEM Panasonic made it eleven summers and ten winters before displaying signs of age and weakness. I then promptly replaced it with an Interstate, which currently has almost five years on it. > > I am more used to 2-4 year lifetimes for batteries. > > > 4-5 years is the usual for southwestern US. However, I see by your traces that you appear to be in the Raleigh, SC area. If you have never allowed your battery to run flat, and have made it a point to replace the HT igntion components regularly, then the battery will last quite a while where you are. -- TeGGeR® The Unofficial Honda/Acura FAQ www.tegger.com/hondafaq/ |
