Can anyone offer an opinion on Honda Roof Racks?
I am considering the purchase of a canoe which I intend to carry on my 98 Accord. The racks from Yakima and Thule are pretty expensive($400+), so I thought about finding a used set from Honda. The factory always knows better right? The total weight I am considering would be around 75lbs. Any other ideas for an inexpensive solution? Al G |

It consists of four foam pieces that attach to the gunwales of the canoe and rest on the roof and some straps to secure the canoe. Should be less than $50. |

One would certainly pick up dust on the canoe trip. Al G |

He doesn't keep it meticulously clean either. A damp rag could be used to get the grit off roof before leaving if things got particularly dirty during the trip. BTW, I think the maximum weight for most of the OEM Honda racks is about 75 lbs. |
