When was the last time a tuneup (plugs, wires, distributor
cap and maybe rotor, air filter, fuel filter, check the timing) was done? Were OEM parts used for the tuneup? When was the last time the cooling system was purged of air? Has the coolant been changed recently? How many miles are on the car? "john" <www.vontcha@hotmail.com> wrote >I have a problem with my 89 civic hatch. Well i'm not sure what happen to the car. It was running perfect until
my friend took it to a test drive...He said he reved it pretty bad,all the way to red line..the car just started doing that after he did that... when the car runs and i have my foot on the gas, the car runs mormal...its just that when you stop and you have to let go of the gas then the car iddles down and dies.and the rpm is very low.almost always to ythe 0 rpm... jim beam wrote: > john wrote: > > I have a problem with my 89 civic hatch. thanks for replying...I just had the tune up couple weeks ago...new
plugs, new oil, new filter...the cars has over 200k miles on it...but it was running good until i had my friend test drive it...he said he reved it pretty bad...ever since he did that to the car, the car just started dying...like there's not enough gas cuming or like the car is having hard time breathing, like it chokes a little before it actually start...
