Default 2008 CR-V Navigation System Stylus Failure

Over a period of time the stylus that controls the cursor and permits one to shift the map to alternate locations has failed. The first signs of failure were when looking forward (upward movement along a route). Now, only some movement to the lower left is possible. Has anyone discovered a fix for this problem?

John
