Default 2003 Accord EX V6 Manual Transmission

This car's transmission strikes me as somewhat confusing. After owning
the car for about a year (bought used), I still don't think I have the
shift points figured out and 2nd gear sometimes gives me trouble. It
won't smoothly engage, or sometimes, when i'm going between 15-25 or
slower, it just doesn't want to let me shift to it and I have to force
it.

I'm just wondering what others think and what experiences they've had
with the 03' or related 6 speed manual transmission.Other than that,
this car never ceases to amaze me. Just the small quarks about the
transmission bug me, and being the perfectionist that I am, I'm
constantly seeking support or answres.

Any input/advice is grealty appreciated. Thanks

Change the tranny fluid and get the clutch hydraulic fluid changed while
the brakes are being done. You bought it used. Who knows if it was
abused at all (or somebody may have installed 'performance' lube in it).
:-(

It's all 'broken in' now and full of crud. . Time for a change. Use
Honda OEM manual tranny fluid.

So you think bad transmission fluid could be causing all of this?

I recall reading a post last year or even earlier by a new owner of a V6 6
speed about similar transmission problems. But, I don't know if this was
the exception. Have absolutely no problems with the 5 spd on my 01 Prelude,
though.

Yes, old or wrong spec trannie fluid could DEFINITELY affect the smoothness
of shifting.

Use Honda OEM Manual trannie fluid only.
