Go to a library, bookstore, or auto parts store and get a repair book or two (or three) for your car. The shop manual at the dealer is the best, but don't be surprised if it costs a hundred bucks. Chilton or haynes manuals typically run about twenty bucks. Trip to the library is free; but beware of chilton manuals that try to cover every auto ever made. |

I don't know about a 94 Accord, but on a 95 Integra (Civic) there is a pushbutton switch under the dash, near the ignition switch. If you have one of those, press it, turn the key and wait for the light to go off. |

Is the OP talking about a MAINTENANCE REQUIRED light, or the CHECK ENGINE light? Lots of people confuse the two. If it's the Maint light, try here: http://www.tegger.com/hondafaq/maint...eqd-light.html -- TeGGeR® The Unofficial Honda/Acura FAQ www.tegger.com/hondafaq/ |

On most of the newer Hondas you reset it by pulling the 7.5 amp "backup radio" (or on some of them, just "backup") fuse for longer than 10 seconds. |

my 99 accord pisses me off with the check engine light coming on often
the solution is go to ebay get a code scanner i bought a used acutron and am soooo soooo happy get the better model that erases codes vs just read the code for less than $100 no more stress i think there is 2 type of code readers pre 1996 and post 1996 get the right one for your year car any / make model is all the same |
