Default 2005 CR-V Engine cuts out while driving...

My wifes CR-V has twice in the last few weeks simply had the engine
cut out
on her while driving. She has restarted the vehicle (after managing to
get it
pulled off to the side of the road with the power cut of...) with no
problem
after each incident.

No warning lights, no error conditions... nothing.

All the power items continued to function normally (including
steering and brakes).

No it is not running out of gas.

We took it to the dealer where we bought it 6 months ago, and they
say they
can find nothing wrong with it.

Anyone have a similar experience?

Advice?

Sounds somewhat similar to a few of my experiences many years ago when my
fuel line froze, one clogged filter, and then one busted carburetor. I
would check the fuel system. Anything else, the cpu should pick it out with
a check engine light.

Do a google search for honda ignition switch recall. You'll see the
symptoms sound exactly the same. Sure, it's a whole different generation
of CR-V, but it could be you've got a bad switch. It's really scary in
traffic.

How old is your CRV? The pre 2002 had a problem like you describe.
