Thanks all!
Well...with the final pricing I'm getting closer to deciding between LXV6 and EXV6. The final price for the LX-V6 is 27,260 with all the options I've added. The dealer's base price with no options for the LX-V6 is 23,490. Kbb says the invoice price is 23,141 and that the national average that consumers are paying is 25,009 for the base. So, I feel like I'm getting a good deal. The accessories add up quickly! The most expensive accessory is by far the XM Radio which is 851.25 (parts and installation). I believe I could take it to the local stereo shop and have XM installed much cheaper. But I don't know how that affects warranty and the XM control might not be integrated like it would be factory installed into steering wheel. The MP3 Player is also expensive at 478.75 parts and installation charge. Fon EX-V6 with all the options (some of LXv6 options are standard here), the price is 28,650. So, that's a difference of $1,390. So, for the $1,390 I'd basically lose my preferred exterior color (royal blue) but would gain heated, leather seats and dual zone automatic climate control. For EX-V6 with Navigation, the price offer is 30,763 so that's a total difference of $3,190 to add navigation and heated leather seats. I'm leaning towards the LX-V6. I sort of feel like the leather seats aren't worth the extra 1,390 to me. I think the navigation system would be a neat gadget to have with me being a computer programmer but I'm not sure that it and leather are worth 3,190 more to me. I realize that leather is more expensive so the price naturally is higher. Any thoughts? Do these numbers seem good? Oh, just in case anyone is curious, here are the accessories I'm adding to the LX-V6. The first number is the part and installation charge quoted by the dealer and the second number is from Honda's site and is the MSRP value of the accessory and is not supposed to include installation charges. So, the first number is typically higher. Door Edge Guards 97.50, 64.00 Gold Emblem Kit 99.75, 59.00 Fenderwell Trim 135.75, 75.00 Door Visors (Front and Rear) 146.25, 129.00 Premim Floor Mats 86.00, 79.00 Leather Steering Wheel Cover 125.75, 59.00 Outside Temperature Gauge 125.00, 142.00 Metal Trim Kit 95.00, 85.00 XM Radio (Entire Kit) 851.25, 717.00 Rear Speaker 66.25, 49.00 MP3 Player 478.75, 544.00 Trunk Tray 110.00, 85.00 IPod Music Link 200.00, 214.00 So, that's a total of 2,606.25. I see these accessories are expensive! I've noticed you can get them much cheaper at www.hondapartsdeals.com but the installation on most of them would be difficult for me! If only I knew a Honda mechanic! Am I getting a good deal with these numbers? Thanks! Drew |

You'd rather have an XM radio that you can take with you, not one that's integrated into the car. Not when they charge per radio. I use the SkyFi 2. In the end, I'm perfectly happy with it. Not everything in life has to be perfectly integrated--certainly not at that price. |

One accessory that you may not want to get is the gold emblem kit. I've seen
Acuras and Hondas within a matter of a three years tarnish and it really looks awful. I'm not sure if there is a polishing kit to fix this, but most of the ones that I've seen, the gold has already flaked off.
