I read on another forum at www.vetc.net that people have used the PC Card
(PCMCIA) slot on the Navi DVD player to play mp3's (using a PCMCIA to Compact flash, or SD adaptor) has anyone on here done this? I have a 2006 accord with navi and I'm interested in doing this. I tried it alst night with a Lexar pc card adaptor and a 512 stick of san disk ram, but it didn't work, just looking for some help, thanks! -Nick |

The early MP3 players which used Smartmedia cards (like those from the Olympus digital cameras of the period), needed to format them for use in the player. This eliminated some data on the card for panorama use in the camera which wasn't replaced by formatting in the camera. So the unhappy snapper had to buy the Olympus card to get the functionality back. Anyway, try formating the card in the player. -- Graham W http://www.gcw.org.uk/ PGM-FI page updated, Graphics Tutorial WIMBORNE http://www.wessex-astro-society.freeserve.co.uk/ Wessex Dorset UK Astro Society's Web pages, Info, Meeting Dates, Sites & Maps Change 'news' to 'sewn' in my Reply address to avoid my spam filter. |

I don't believe there is anyway to format the compact flash card in the navi system (correct me if I'm wrong) I'm not using an MP3 player but using the PC Card slot that on the DVD part of the navi system (in the trunk, where the DVD lods theres a PC card slot) -Nick |
