Default 2001 civic lx struts

Is this a job that can be done at home? Replacement struts are around $135
is that a good price? Also will this need to be aligned after repair?

If he's replacing the strut bodies, yes. If he's replacing the *inserts*,
and is careful to put everything back exactly as it came off, then no.
