I am looking for an aftermarket key fob (for keyless entry and alarm)
for my 2001 Accord. Everything is factory on the car, including the alarm. I DO NOT WANT A HONDA KEY FOB!! I have had it with the design. The location of the panic button, being a strip has the key ring press it several times a day and it is driving me nuts. Who makes a replacement key fob for this car that is not Honda and is a different design? This is the first car that I have had where the key fob is constantly triggering the panic alarm. I have temporarily solved the problem by tearing out the panic button, but this is a poor solution as it exposes the pc-board to the dirt in my pocket. The unit is also constantly opening the trunk and locking the doors (after I just unlocked them) without my obvious input. Do others have the same problem? Can anyone offer advice to a frustrated motorist? |

I have never heard of this problem. I have the same remote for my
car and never had an issue. Must be something you are doing. Chip On Wed, 23 Nov 2005 08:03:21 -0500, "Elmo P. You can get cool 'slip covers' for the fobs that keep them looking new and they make the buttons harder to push accidentally. 'Curly' |
