Default How to remove the lighter socket?

Can someone steer me onto a source of info on how to remove that part of the
console of an '01 Accord that holds the lighter socket (accessory power
socket)? Mine is so loose as to be useless, and I need it to be useful.
Google has failed me in this, so I'm hoping for luck here. TIA.

since you're not happy with the advice you've received so far, try
helm.com. get the service manual.

Didn't say I was unhappy, but since you didn't ask, the 'advice' was not
useful. To wit, I *know* how to take the radio out; what I need are the
steps to remove the part of the console below it. I will, however, check out
that source.

http://www.slhonda.com/orderparts.jsp

has a schematic on there once you tell it what "parts you want to look for"

according to the diagram i saw, the "accessory socket" pries out- there
is nothing holding it in. and that part of the console is secured with
one screw.
