Engine valve
I have a '99 Honda Accord with 104k miles and my car was vibrating
violently. My mechanic told me I have a burnt engine valve and it needs to be fixed by an engine mechanic. Anyone have this before?? How much did it cost to replace??

It means you never had the valves adjusted, sad to say. Also that you rarely had the oil changed. People, look after your car! Go to a (non-Honda) shop that does Hondas and Toyotas, and just tell them you want to figure out the 'vibration'. If they conclude they need to do a compression test, go for it. It will tell you a lot. If it's a valve, it's generally over $1,000 US. Does your exhaust stink badly? (even when engine is warm?) 'Curly'

Actually, I change my oil religiously. I've had to add oil between
changes though b/c the car was burning it. I can rarely smell it, but I know I don't have any leaks. I told my mechanic about it and he differ have any explanation only saying that Honda's don't burn oil.

Actually, I had the oil changed religiously. The past 6 months though,
I've had to add oil between changes b/c the it was burning it. The past month, I've had to add a ton. I rarely smelled it though and there were no leaks. I brought it up with my mechanic and didn't have an explanation, only that Hondas don't burn oil.
