I dropped by the local dealership today to take a quick look at the 06
Civic. They had 2 sedan and 1 coupe in the showroom. They all had centre arm-rest, So, I'm assuming they were all DX-G's and up (there was no tacky logo for the model type, pasted to the rear). Personally, I'm interested in the 'NO AC' model, which might be a problem since the DX (which is the only model that's not equipped with Air) also doesn't have the centre arm-rest and I want the centre arm-rest since it's nicely placed for the right elbow. Also, the handbrake lever is idealy place for emergency use (especially if you want to make a quick u-turn in the snow), but the darn thing is also placed so that it rubs against the side of my legs. Moving the seat back so that my legs are more extended would solve this problem, but that would put the shift lever too far away for a comfurtable grip. I think the average Joe will love the seating feel of the new Civic, but us larger customers are probably going to have to make some compromises (I wonder if they'll lower the price of the RSX, cause that car's inerior is ideal for my size). The sedan was a little too tight to fit my large frame (6'1 and XXL shoulders) but the coupe was acceptable. It would have been much more comfortable if those dam side boulsters didn't pinch into the side of my back. Hopefully the DX version will have side bulsters that are not as restrictive). If not...I wonder if the RSX's seats will bolt into the 06 Civic???. When time permits, I'll have to take that 06 for a test spin. If it behave as nicely as my modified 98 Hatch, I'll be impressed. I really likethat the seat can be raised up and down and the steering wheel is so adjustable. I have the LX, and the arm rest, by the way, slides forward another three inches or so. It does behave, but good behavior is relative. ![]() -- Brandy**AlexandreŽ http://www.swydm.com/?refer=BrandyAlx Well, would you? |
