Does anyone know or have the proper servicing procedures for servicing the
coolant system on hondas.I have a 96 Accord.I heard you have to jack the
front up and all this other stuff?

If you're willing to wing it a bit, try the 96 Civic manual's procedure
crossed with the 1993 Accord manual's procedure at
http://www.honda.co.uk/owner/workshopmanuals2.html. Both procedures are
under "Engine," in a "cooling" or "radiator" section.

www.autozone.com allows one to put in one's car year, make, and model and
get the procedures, too. Problem is for Hondas it covers only 1995 and
earlier years.

Next option is to go to the library. They often have a large collection of
Chilton's manuals going back to the 1980s.

I don't have to jack up the front on my 1991 Civic, but its drain bolt is on
the engine front. The big impediment (from my experience and from reading
others' experiences here) sometimes is getting off the engine drain bolt.
For your Accord, it appears to be on the back of the engine (consistent
with the UK site's PDF drawing above), near the oil filter, per the
following 1996 Accord 4-door LX drawing, part #17:

As Elle mentioned, the engine drain bolt is near the oil filter, and is
difficult to get to. Just drain the radiator and the overflow tank.
Loosen the bleed nut and fill, following the bleed procedure in the
shop manual.

Hey no. It's difficult to get to, but on my 1991 Civic, it's on the front of
the engine. The oil filter is on the back.

Then again, a little encouragement to at least try freeing that engine drain
bolt is a good idea. Mine came loose really easily this past spring. It
hadn't been off in something like ten years. The right tools helped, I'm
sure.

I've lost track of what car this is. The bolt is above the oil filter on
the back of the engine on the big four in the mid-90's accords and Odysseys.
