Hi my 1995 accord has abs problem, when engine 1st started it does the
checks and light goes out.(abs).after 20 metres or so light comes back on. have been told to clean sensors and gear pulser (teeth)on the front, this i did but light still on. i cannot get the back wheel sensors off due to not knowing which bits to take off!!there seems to be a round plate in the way.can anyone tell me if the abs fault is an mot failure?.thanks. |

They will probably be badly rusted in place. Use google.com to search for the ABS codes, which will tell you which sensor is not 'reporting in'. You can unplug the connectors under the hood and look for obvious corrosion too. Same as '95 Odyssey, I believe, but search for Accord, since there are way more produced. 'Curly' |

The one with two wires was the one I had to jumper, IIRC. 'Curly' |

If your Accord is a 4-cylinder, the service check connector should be dangling under the dash on the passenger side. On the other hand, if it is a V6, you need an OBD-II scan tool. The data link connector is behind the ashtray in the center console. |

check connector should be on the passenger side of the car beneath the glove
box. It will be a blue 2p or 3p connector stuck into a rubber boot (green or blue.) jazzy29 wrote: > thanks very much for advice.got the codes as advised but now cant find the > service check connector to read fault codes (abs light flashes > number)meant to be under passenger side of dash not on mine?(typical) any > ideas where else to accsess the codes? > ps; is check connector under dash or behind a access panel? > many thanks. -- Tp, -------- __o ----- -\<. -------- __o --- ( )/ ( ) ---- -\<. -------------------- ( )/ ( ) ----------------------------------------- No Lawsuit Ever Fixed A Moron... |
