I would > consider a SI (when they appear) but only if I have an opportunity to drive > it before I even weigh whether trading my 01 Prelude would be a good move. > > financially, rationally, itll NEVER be a good move. like me... ive got a 98 civic CX hatch. ive been lusting after the scion xA ever since it came out. and now the similar honda jazz is supposedly being released. why would i want to trade a 2dr hatchback with a 1.6l engine for a 4 door hatch with a 1.5l engine? especially since... my cars paid off its bluebook is about $4500 tradein it only has 50k miles on it runs great! makes no sense, does it? |

Well, you're clearly not the "gotta have the cool new new thing" type, and place a high priority on a better engine/mass ratio. I'm not either (I prefer more power, too), and am of the opinion that used cars in good shape are the best use of my resources. Wouldn't mind getting better mileage and having a quieter ride, but I don't need the cool new thing. Lotta people do--or at least they want it and decide they can afford it. |

I passed; I told him I'm waiting for the Si. He said no problem. The coupe is one sweet looking piece. Take the badges off, and no one would know you were driving a Honda. |
