I'm wondering if anyone here happens to know which Mobil 1 Oil Filter would apply to a 2005 Honda CR-V SE? I used Mobil 1 High-Efficiency Oil Filters on my '89 and '97 Honda Civics for many years without a problem, but for some odd reason, I cannot seem to locate the specific filter part number for the '05 CR-V. I used number M1-104 on the Civics and I'm thinking that number M1-110 should work on the CR-V, but I haven't been able to confirm or cross-referenece this either on-line or at the automotive parts store. Any input and insight on this little dilemma would be very much appreciated. Thank you very much in advance for your time and consideration! --SCOTT |

the new "thimble" sized Honda filters are very good the part # is
15400-PLM-A01. I know the Mobil 1's are very good, too but if you can't find a cross with the Mobil...I woudn't fret as the same tiny filter is on all the new Honda's, even the bigger V6's. be sure to make sure you have removed the gasket from the block, if it sticks. They had a problem with sticking to the older CRV's. |

If there are any other interested CR-V owners around, I called the Mobil Oil Corporation at 1-800-ASK-MOBIL (that's 1-800-275-66245) and they indicated having only one Mobil 1 High Efficiency Oil Filter available for the 2005 CR-V's four-cylinder, 2.4-Litre iVTEC engine: it's part number M1-110. Have A Great Day! |

Is there REALLY a difference in the oil filters (Mobil 1 vs Honda OEM)? If
so, I might consider it. Yeah, that sounds about right. With 10,000 factory-recommended oil changes,
Mobil 1 gives me a little more comfidence to actually go that long. "SoCalMike" <mikein562athotmail@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:wLSdnUWed9XaBY3eRVn-1A@comcast.com... > D.D.
