I have to repalce my compressor on a 94 civic 1.5L and the shop manual does
not appear to give the high and low pressures - it jsut refers to max 19 oz of r134. What should my guages read when properly vacuumed and and refilled? |

I ended up taking the car to the gas station to have the a/c fixed - I
didn't have the time to work on it - too many late night at the office. They said I was right, the compressor clutch failed, but the system did have pressure. They swapped in the unit I bought from the junk year that has a 1 year warrantty on it. The problem with the horn was a corroded wire between the relay and the horn. Professor wrote: > > Humidity has nothing to do with system pressures... > > Professor > www.telstar-electronics.com I am not about to enter into a thermodynamic argument, but the factory service manual has graphs showing system pressures as dependent on both temperature and relative humidity. So, to the OP, go to http://www.helminc.com and get the factory manual. It will have the answer! -- ================================================== ===== A very modest collection of Honda tech info can be found at: http://www.geocities.com/ng_randolph |
