Default expressautoparts.com ripped me off

Do not let anyone you care about shop at this on line store,
expressautoparts.com (aka autoparts.com) will rip you off. In November of
2004 I order a Honda muffler from expressautoparts.com that they said was
in stock and would ship in 3-5 days. I received an e-mail conformation of
the order, an $89.37 charge on my credit card and a note that I would get a
tracking number as soon as the part shipped.

An inquiry about the order 3 weeks later resulted in an automated response
saying that my part was on back order at the warehouse level and to please
allow another 3-6 days for the part to ship. After another 2 weeks went
by without the part being shipped, I canceled the order and received
another automated e-mail response confirming the cancellation.

Being naïve, I expected a refund on my credit card which never happened.
Repeated requests since then have always resulted in automated canned
e-mail responses with messages such as please allow 30 days for your
credit to show up on your credit card billing or the latest really dumb
message saying that they have changed their credit card processor and can
no longer give me a credit.

Complaints filed with my state attorney general’s office and the New York
Better Business Bureau have simply been ignored by expressautoparts.com
because they know that no punitive measure will be taking against them.
The Washington State Attorney Generals office said they could not act as
my private attorney and suggested that I hire one to recover my $89.37,
lol.

Waiting for them to do the right thing took me past the 60 day limit my
credit card company allows for disputing charges. Too bad this company is
not smart enough to make an honest living without stealing.

This sucks man, I always hate it when they say the credit should be
posted within 1 or 2 statement cycles, that's exactly what they want,
to pass that 60-day window opportunity... screw them, If I were you I
would repost this every 60 days or so just in spite.

10/30/2006 Update to my original post.
I was contacted by the new management at expressautoparts.com. They are
making an effort to correct old unresloved issues. They sent my refund
check!!
