Yellow = ACC power, White / blue tracer = On all the time, Black is chassis ground, and Red / Black tracer is ILLUMINATION input. When the ILLUMINATION input is zero, the backlight runs at 100%. Apply any voltage from the dash lights, and it drops to 50% , then down to maybe 5% depending on the position of the brightness control. To solve your problem, install a switch in the Red/Black line to prevent the clock knowing the dash lights have come on. You could mount the switch on one of the the two blank plugs to the left of the steering wheel, or even get a matching used Honda switch from a cruise control or fog lamps. 'Curly' |

At least you have a clock, my 1998 crv clock died and I cant find one.
the dealer wants roughly 300 bucks for a new one. I could invest in shares in big ben for that ammount.. ![]() On Tue, 19 Jul 2005 00:49:57 GMT, Milleron <millerdot90@SPAMlessosu.edu> wrote: >On Mon, 18 Jul 2005 09:54:52 -0700, Dick <LeadWinger> wrote: > >>On Mon, 18 Jul 2005 16:43:00 GMT, Milleron >><millerdot90@SPAMlessosu.edu> wrote: >> >>>On Sun, 17 Jul 2005 21:55:17 -0700, Dick <LeadWinger> wrote: >>> >>>>On Sun, 17 Jul 2005 23:31:07 -0400, "Elmo P. Does anyone know if any other honda model carries the same clock as
the 1998 crv. The local Honda parts guy wasn't much help. Any help appreciated. Thanks. I picked up a used one from the wreckers for under $40 CAN. You can just install a Hamsar DRL module (www.hamsar.com) to solve the 'dark clock' problem (turning _all_ your lights on just to achieve DRL is a big waste of fuel), or install a switch in the line from the illumination circuit (so the clock doesn't know you've turned the headlights on).. I was in North Carolina, and am now back home in Brampton (GTA)
Canada. Where did you get your clock from. Your in Toronto right Curly. I work in the Markham area. I cant seem to find a wrecker with any CRV's. Thanks. Search harder. eBay is the next step, but they don't come up too often. 'Curly' |

Was your old clock of the same model type. What was wrong with it and
do you still have it. Thanks On Tue, 22 Aug 2006 21:37:06 -0600, "'Curly Q. My '97 didn't come with a clock, (nor the harness), but it had the knock-out and it's easy to add the wires. 'Curly' |
