Asking if a dealer or repair shop automatically turns rotors is a very
good qualifier. If there is no brake "judder" or shudder - turning is not necessary. Find some competent and not crooked independent shop - dealer wanted $650 to replace a radiator - would have done it myself but did not have time - got a local guy to do it for half that. IMHO dealers are reserved for warranty work only-also I always inspect my outer CV joint boots for cuts/tears before letting anyone touch my honda - I tell the people either changing tires or what ever I have inspected the CV boots - was a fav scam of a dealer where i used to live cutting boots in cars with over 75K on them - that is a pricey repair. I can change my pads in less than 1 hour - really easy and takes less time than going to even my local repair guy - buy my parts either on line or autozone/wal mart. no problems. Got 188K on this accord - previous 2 are still going with well over 300k on them. |
