I had a dead battery this morning and realized it was due to my rear
brake lights being on all night. I made sure the actual brake was not stuck and it was not. I found a post similiar to this where the problem was caused by a "button" under the dash, but I could not find any more specific information. Anyone? Thanks Jason |

Thanks for the reply. When I went outside to check I noticed a few more
things. Now the Left brake light does not turn on or off while the right remains "stuck". In addition, none of the rear driving lights that come on with the headlights, are getting power Jason |

You have other problems then, not just the switch. Check all bulbs for corrosion in all the sockets. Check all grounds. Check bulbs for burned-out filaments. Check the backup light swtich at the parking brake lever. Any rust where you live (or where the car lived before you had it)? -- TeGGeR® The Unofficial Honda/Acura FAQ www.tegger.com/hondafaq/ |

Had you changed the rear light bulbs recently. Check that they are the
correct ones? One kind of light bulbs got one one contact point at the base and a pair of parallel locking pins at the sides. The other kind of light bulbs got two contact points at the base and the locking pins are not parallel at the sides. Strange enough sometimes one can still screw them into the wrong sockets by accident. <TeGGeR? <tegger@tegger.c0m>> ¦b¶l¥ó news:Xns965FD4E98C662tegger@207.14.113.17 ¤¤¼¶¼g... > "Jason" <jasong@satx.rr.com> wrote in > news:1116895743.029117.299860@o13g2000cwo.googlegr oups.com: > > > Thanks for the reply. Check the grey connectors by the tail lights. They get corroded by the leaking tail light gaskets and housings. BTDT. |
