The EGR ports can get blocked after some time by hard black deposits.
The only way to clean the involved ports is to remove the EGR valve and start scraping. A solvent might also be utilized. Depending on how bad the deposits are... certain intake components may have to be removed. But before you go through all that... you better run the error code and see what it says... You might want to fire up the vacuum cleaner and hold the nozzle near

Thanks The plugs come out with a drill and a slidehammer. Clean them with fine drill bits and spray solvents, and pop in new plugs. |

Check with your dealer as there is a tsl on putting a liner in the port
because of the problem on the V6. Many Odyssey owners had it done for free. See www.odyclub.com. Before tearing into the engine check with the dealer. You may also want to do some research on the problem on the net....
