I have a 98 Civic EX 4 door. I need to get the windshield replaced and when
I called Safelite they asked if the car was made in US/Japan or in Canada. Apparently there is a difference in the windshields. I thought this crazy until I called the Honda dealer and discovered the Civics made in the Canada plant show a different windshield p/n than the ones from US or Japan plants. The parts guys said the p/n did not interchange. Mine was made in Canada and Safelite says they don't carry that windshield. Before I go to another glass shop, I'd like to know what is going on so I don't get fit with the wrong piece of glass. Anybody know what the story is on this? |
