Default Duct Cleaning

Hi folks,
Some small critter (mouse, vole) decided to make a nest in the
heater ducts of my Del Sol while it was parked in the garage
for a week. I have been able to vacuum out some of the mess,
but some won't budge from behind the vents.

I would like to remove the vent grills, but I don't want to
risk damaging them or the dash. How can I remove them safely?

Is there a better way of cleaning the ducts?

TIA,
Dan
