Default 95 Civic Doors won't lock

The car came with an alarm when purchased new. The alarm
locked/unlocked the manual door locks when activated/deactivated.
After recently jump-starting the vehicle (left headlights on), the red
light on the dash indicating valet mode for the alarm remained on and I
couldn't activate the alarm. After pulling out the fuse and putting it
back in, the alarm activates and deactivates as before. However, the
doors won't lock when activating the alarm. And I can't lock them
manually from inside the car or by using the key. Any clues on how to
resolve this. Thanks for any help.

Yes. I can switch to and from valet mode OK now. But I still can't
lock the doors in either mode. The alarm doesn't lock them anymore,
and I can't lock them manually with the keys nor from the inside by
pressing the lever/latch in. It won't give.

When you say you can't even lock the doors manually, do you mean that
locking the driver's door (with key or knob) does not cause the other
doors to lock, or do you mean that you can not even lock the driver's
door using the key in the driver's door or using the knob on the
driver's door? Does the lock on the passenger side work if you use the
key in the passenger side or the knob on the passenger side?

When you try to lock the doors, do you hear any unusual sounds (like the
lock actuators trying to lock and then immediately reversing to unlock)?

Neither door locks using the key. The key won't turn I can't even
press the latch inside the car (on either side) into the locked
position. Both are stuck in the open position. It's like something is
broken, preventing the doors from locking.

No sound at all.

The fuses are OK. The alarm arms just fine.
