Default Finding TDC on 94 accord

I am trying to change the timimg belt on my 94 accord. The problem I
have is that the pulley on the crankshaft is so rusted thatI cannot
see any marks, red or white.

How do I find TDC?

Or can I just mark the belt and the gears with whiteout, transfer the
marks to the new belt and line up (like I have read in these groups)
and ignore TDC?

Thank-you.

in the absence of marks, the white-out solution works great. in fact,
that's oem procedure on many different brands of vehicles.

Finding TDC is not too hard on most cars. What I do is pull the number
one spark plug and then insert one of those disposable chinese take out chop
sticks in the spark plug hole. I then turn the engine with my breaker bar
and watch the chop stick. When it tops out, you have reached TDC. Then you
can mark the pulley with some paint.
