Give us a little more to work with here, Car model and year, factory or after market stereo, any particular noise or distortion in the sound, or is it just the volume that is the problem? Most Hondas have a fuse in the fuse box under the hood (not the one under the dash) where there is a fuse marked "Backup". This fuse is for the ECU memory, the clock and the memory wire to the stereo. When you shorted the memory wire to ground, you that fuse probably blew. Not that it necessarily will fix your particular problem, but try replacing that fuse. It is a regular automotive fuse, usually 7.5A (but check inside the cover of the fuse box to be sure of the rating). -- ================================================== ===== A very modest collection of Honda tech info can be found at: http://www.geocities.com/ng_randolph |
