Could MIL code P1457 be gas-cap related?

Thanks.

Could be a leak in the evap system somewhere. Possibly cap related. Are you
in the habit of over filling the tank. This forces gas in the evap system
damaging it. Evap vent solenoid possibly leaking. Broken hose. For other
possibilities do a google search..

P1457 flags an evap system leak near canister. It could be the gas cap, but
there have been some problems with bad canisters and assocated control
valves.

Thank you. I guess I'll have to do some further testing to pinpoint the
problem. Thanks again.

R.
