Default Latest Nav DVD Disappointing

I just received the latest DVD for the Accord navigation system
yesterday. After installing it, I was somewhat disappointed. The
first thing I noticed was that having the direction of travel up in
the nearest zoom settings was now switched with the far settings
having it and the near settings having north up. I liked it the other
way. I also noticed that the graphics seem to be less sharp than
before. The initial screen looks like it was typed on an old
typewriter. The roads do not show up as clearly. I will have to play
with it for a while, but my first impression is not good. It does
have more roads in the areas where we travel. That's about all the
good I can say about it.

I guess sometimes it pays to read the book. I see that North Up or
Heading Up is now user selectable. I'm a little less disappointed.

2003 Accord EX. Version 3.40C. It has a date of 2004, but it wasn't
available for purchase until around February of this year. I think
the original release date was supposed to be Jan 31, 2005, but that
came and went without a release. I just ordered it on 3/8. Arrived
from Alpine on 3/10.
